Legend states of a man who uses an umbrella to defend a castle from a thousand men. With that umbrella, he only had to issue three strikes from his unmoving spot to kill the hoarde. That man's name was Shoy.

With long black hair and a long black leather coat, he is a rather mysterious and strong man. He hangs around Amigo and his rag tag group of assassins, going out on missions with the rest of them on occasion. He carries with him a black umbrella which he most often uses as a cane or walking stick, and a katana, which is hardly ever unsheathed.

His weapons are lost in chapter 7, as he forgets to bring them back from the fight with Edmond Dantes / The Count of Monte Cristo. In Chapter 12, it's revealed that he hates soiling his clothes, and he'll go through great lengths to make them new again.

By the time Chapter 18 rolls around, Shoy had agreed with Amigo to possess Q and force him to absorb the Pheonix Soul. Then, inside Q's body, Shoy moved both the souls into a host body Roy Salamandra had created named Sin. Shoy's Rez is possession. Although he hates relying on his Rez, he trusted Amigo. However, the incident proved fatal for Shoy's original body, as he died during the transfer of Q and the Pheonix into Sin. Because of this, he is now trapped inside Q's body, without use of either his own or Q's rez.
It is also interesting to note, that every time Shoy meets Fortenra Askasa, he becomes slightly distracted, or decides to not fight as hard. This usually brings Shoy a host of problems, as Askasa is someone who he should not be letting his guard down around. In chapter 18 particularly, Shoy seems to show that he cares for children by saving Ismaru, who he should consider an enemy, from the Pheonix.
